S-Tier Duos (2 Players)
1. Ironclad + Silent
Rating: S — The classic tank + debuffer combo.
Why it works:
- Ironclad generates massive Block, protecting both players
- Silent applies Vulnerable/Weak — shared across all players
- Ironclad's exhaust synergies trigger from Silent's discard effects
- Silent's Sly mechanic enables explosive burst turns while Ironclad tanks
Strategy:
Turn 1: Silent applies Vulnerable/Weak. Ironclad gains Block. Turn 2+: Ironclad attacks into debuffed enemies while maintaining defense. Silent chains Sly combos for massive damage.
Priority cards:
- Ironclad: Barricade, Body Slam, Entrench, Impervious
- Silent: Leg Sweep, Piercing Wail, Blade Dance, Accuracy
2. Necrobinder + Regent
Rating: S — The highest damage ceiling in the game.
Why it works:
- Necrobinder stacks Doom for instant boss kills
- Regent's Stars amplify Necrobinder's Doom damage
- Both classes scale infinitely with proper setup
- Osty (Necrobinder's summon) provides additional frontline pressure
Strategy:
Focus on stacking Doom early. Regent uses Forge to craft damage amplifiers. Once Doom threshold is reached, enemies die instantly regardless of HP. Strongest against high-HP bosses.
Priority cards:
- Necrobinder: Time's Up, Scourge, Deathbringer, Danse Macabre
- Regent: Supermassive, Sovereign Blade, Spectrum Shift
A-Tier Duos
Defect + Silent
Rating: A — Orb scaling + debuff synergy.
Defect channels Lightning/Dark orbs for passive damage while Silent applies debuffs. Strong mid-game but requires careful energy management. Best with Mummified Hand relic.
Ironclad + Necrobinder
Rating: A — Tank + Doom stacking.
Ironclad protects Necrobinder while Doom stacks accumulate. Excellent for boss fights but slower in hallway encounters. Requires Necrobinder to prioritize Doom cards early.
Best 3-Player Teams
Ironclad + Silent + Necrobinder
Rating: S — Perfect role balance.
Tank (Ironclad) + Debuffer (Silent) + Finisher (Necrobinder). Silent applies Vulnerable, Ironclad maintains defense, Necrobinder executes with Doom. This composition covers all bases and has no significant weaknesses.
Best 4-Player Teams
All 5 Classes (Pick 4)
Recommended: Ironclad + Silent + Necrobinder + Regent
This composition has everything: tank, debuffer, burst damage, and scaling. Defect can replace Regent if you prefer orb-based strategies, but Regent's Forge provides more flexibility in co-op.
Co-op Exclusive Cards to Prioritize
- Believe in You: Grant a teammate +2 Energy. Essential for enabling combo turns.
- Beacon of Hope: Transfer Block to all teammates. Turns Ironclad into a team-wide defender.
- Calamity: All players draw 2 cards. Excellent for setting up coordinated burst turns.
- Automation: Reduce cost of all cards in hand by 1 for all players. Game-winning in the right setup.
General Co-op Tips
- Debuffs are shared: When any player applies Vulnerable or Weak, all players benefit. Prioritize debuff cards early.
- Coordinate energy usage: Don't all go for expensive cards in the same turn. Stagger your power plays.
- One tank is enough: Multiple Ironclads is overkill. Diversify your roles.
- Communicate relic picks: Some relics benefit the entire team (e.g., Lantern, Golden Compass). Coordinate who takes what.
- Boss relic priority: Energy relics should go to your primary damage dealer (usually Necrobinder or Regent).
