Slay the Spire 2 — Save File Location
Need to back up your saves, move them to another PC, or recover a corrupted run? Here are the exact save file locations for every platform.

C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\MegaCrit\SlayTheSpire2AppData is hidden by default. In File Explorer, paste the path directly into the address bar and press Enter.

macOS
/Users/[YourName]/Library/Application Support/MegaCrit/SlayTheSpire2The Library folder is hidden by default. In Finder, hold Option and click Go → Library to reveal it.

Linux (Steam)
/home/[YourName]/.local/share/MegaCrit/SlayTheSpire2If using Steam Play (Proton), the path may be inside the Steam compatdata folder instead.

▸Copy the entire MegaCrit/SlayTheSpire2 folder to back up everything at once.
▸Steam Cloud Sync is enabled by default — your saves are automatically backed up to Steam.
▸To transfer saves to another PC, copy the save folder and paste it in the same path on the new machine.
▸If a run save is corrupted, delete only the affected slot file (e.g. slot1.save) — other slots are unaffected.
